(mostly) short poems on life and love

from the outside (in)

August 16, 2018 by Michael Guerin

perhaps most days pass by
seamless and without release

but do you ever wonder how
to reach the heart of passion

and would you walk away
from games that are in fashion

or brave one night alone
without a soul’s compassion

and could you stay the course
should everything turn ashen

or surrender all for love
so few ever plumb or fathom

because taken at face value
most days just pass you by.
